Art takes courage, discipline and compassion. There is a moment when you get into the flow of your work that takes you beyond the ordinary hour. It transcends time. I am learning to honor my creative time every chance I get. As a parent, it can be challenging to balance a career, graduate school and parenting. Nonetheless, I make time for the creativity because it is a part of my artist spirit. I also love to teach others how to create something new. There is a passion inside that wants to be expressed each day.
Today I honor this creative fire inside through everyday sketching, painting and poetry. I am setting better intentions to find those precious moments to create.
